程 Life is a Long Journey.., Chennai Express India June 2008

feeling of anything
approaching to me,
feeling of something
away from me..

An the feeling of something sharing.. or exchanging..
in the meantime.

Life is a collection of debris from those of comes & goes..
with psychological scars
left as just chunks of memories..
.. bulky set of weighted connections among the activated neurons..

sometimes jewels..
mostly garbages..
though we learn a lot from the garbages..

Now I have no chance in sitting at the entrance steps with the door wide open in the train in Korea, Canada or other developed countries.
But I have a good memory of doing exactly same thing the men at the picture were doing when I was in school in early 1980..
We talked about our girl friends, mostly political situations, and what our life would like to be over the beers, and sang lots of songs hoping for better future and condemning political reality.. on the train running fast.. with the door wide open.. with all the swirling wind rushing onto our faces..
We were so happy together on the rail..
listening and feeling the constant rythm of the running steel horse..

So you might imagine how much I like this train with all the doors wide open for me..
I payed nearly twice more fare for Sleeper Class with Air Conditioning but I didn't actually needed the luxury(relatively speaking). Second class sitting with lowest wage should be mine..

俗 Halloween Lanterns, Broadview Toronto 30 Oct 2008

Halloween (or Hallowe’en) is a holiday celebrated on Oct 31. It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holy day of All Saints. Irish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America during Ireland's porato famine of 1846. It is largely a secular celebration, but some Christians and Pagans have expressed strong feelings about its religious overtones. The day is often associated with the colors orange and black, and is strongly associate with symbols such as the jack-o'-lantern. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, ghot tours, bonifires, costume parties, visiting haunted attractions, carving jack-o'-lanterns, reading scary stories, and watching horror movies. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century. Halloween is also becoming increasingly popular with children in other countries due to the influences of American pop culture.

축제의 사람들.., Taste of the Danforth Toronto Aug 8~10 2008

Carnival..

There is no festival without variety of foods
as the word carnival derived from the meaning of meat-eating, carnivorous..

Taste of the Danforth is the Food Festival.. eating, drinking and eating again..
I see more excitement and dynamics of people in the festival ..

Lovely Mexicana El Fogoncito, San Pedro Sula Honduras 2005

YangKee, general manager of Dying Plant in San Pedro Sula invited us to the place of Mexican Food. Because of security reason most of restaurants do not have their entrance door open, many owners hire private security guards armed with heavy shot guns and pistol. However this restaurant seemed quite free from the mood of insecurity.
The dishes were all excellent and the amicable atmosphere was superb.

熱 Tropical Ants working really hard , City Park Managua Nicaragua 2005

On a rainy day on Sunday,
I just went down from my hotel for walk to downtown area with Casino complex.
And I found a small park full of high tropical trees and some benches.
There was a big shadow formed by the abundant leaves of the giant trees.

All of a sudden I found some small things are moving on the ground and I kneeled down to have a detail look. It was really suprising to see the moving small leaves in row. And soon I remembered the scenes I watched on Discovery or National Geographic channel.

Those were the ants carrying leaves. Green and yellow leaves were carried by the amazing creatures dilligently. They were so fast in moving that I couldn't have my camera focus on them well. Surely because I was watching them they were nervous and getting faster and faster in moving which made me troublesome to take good pictures. However I was so excited to see them moving that I had no chance of complaining.. ^,^

Discovery Channel
