the river runs through.. , St. Lawrence River Quebec Apr 24 2010

a history started as people gathered
around the mouth of the river.

as salty water turns into fresh one
people turned the natural landscape of lakes and forests
into their homes, gardens and fortress
generation by generation..

the river runs through as peaceful this morning
as it has been running for last couple of million years..

.. as if there has been nothing happening
in this beautiful city of Quebec..
.. without any name for a long long time.. naturally..
