Sitting right in front of the fire place
feeling my face getting as hot and reddish as the flame of the fire log
I don't need anything to mull over but my own existence
as a biological being still alive,
as a philosophical entity still thinking with some level of sophistication,
and as an emotional animal still feeling & believing in
the ridiculously high state of energy of falling in love with something or somebody.. :p

flying together.. 같이 날기.. ㅎ, Riverdale Park Broadview Toronto Sept 2008
같이 날던 때도 그립다.
같은 교복을 입고, 같은 모양의 머리를 하고선, 비슷한 생각을 나누며
이리 저리 떼로 돌아 다니던 시절의 동무들..
그리 우습고 신나는 일도 많지 않았던것 같은데도,
그저 항상 껄껄 웃으며 어울려 돌아 다니던 그때..
청춘의 푸르름.. 그 싱그러움 만으로도 웃음은 절로 지어졌을 것이고
어깨동무는 가장 자연스런 것이었을 것이다.

마을을 조금만 벗어나면 인공 조형물이라곤 목장의 펜스나 전봇대들,
그리고 오일을 퍼내고 있는 펌프잭 밖에 없는 이곳에서
지평선을 배경으로 뚜렷한 실루엣을 형성하며 서있는 裸木들은 다분히 미학적이다.
사방이 끝도 없이 트인 이러한 대평원, 대초원의 구릉 위에서나 들판의 한 가운데에
간혹 서있는 이러한 나무들의 자태를 바라보다 보면,
이들의 실존감이 다분히 판타지적으로 다가오기도 한다.
체감 기온 영하 29도의 끝없이 펼쳐진 들판 가운데에 서서..
just try to gently trigger your imagination... please.. :p
