오늘은 오늘의 태양이.. heart of darkness.., Westview Golfclub Aurora Ontario

in the heart of darkness, you might find the sun..
which is the brightest of them all.


tee-up 타임을 기다리면서 앉아 있는데
갑자기 하늘이 어두워지며 캄캄해 졌고..
검고 흰 구름에 가려진 태양은 마치 달처럼 하얗게 질렸었다.

이러한 정황상의 전후 프로세스에 서 있지 않고
검은 주변과 흰 태양이 떠 있는 snapshot 만을 대한다면 두려워 질 것이 분명하다..



어제의 태양은 오늘 전혀 새로운 태양으로 뜨곤 한다..

한때 가장 강렬한 태양 중 하나였던 이데올로기는
자본과 테크놀로지라는 신종 태양에 녹아나며 완전히 증발해 버렸다.
아직도 두어 곳 남아있는 좀비 나라들에서는 매일 아침 그 이데올로기의 시체를 어루만지지만
어떻게든 그 저주받은 체제를 유지해 보려는 발버둥에 다름 아니다.

Revenue 와 Profit 이라는 태양신을 모셨던 금융 자본 주의와
그들을 모시며 제사장 역할을 했던 금권 정치는 이제 스스로 와해될 지경에 이른다.
어떤 모습의 수정된 자본주의 형태로 진화할 지 흥미진진 할 뿐이다.

국가와 민족이라는 태양 역시.. 기술의 진보가 가져온 물리적, 정신적 글로벌리즘과
국가 만큼이나 거대해진 글로벌 회사들의 조직 문화에 흡수되어 가며
이제 개개인의 photo id 정도에 기록되는 족보적, 보안적 역할에 그치고 있다.

가부장적 사회에서의 아버지라는 태양 역시,
아직 대낮의 강렬했던 빛에 대한 기억이 다 가신 것은 아니지만
황혼을 넘어 수평선 아래로 가라 앉은 지 오래인것 같다.

이 모든 형태의 달콤한 마쵸이즘의 추억은

온 세상을 뒤덮은 유비퀴터스 디지털리즘의 서릿발 아래

점점 잘 마른 미이라가 되어간다.

깊은 조의를 표할 밖에.. ㅎ

Chopin Waltz.. Op.69 No.2

could all those lovely nocturnes & valses of Chopin be more beautiful & elegant if he could taste the feeling of flying in the sky..?

there were two men i used to think of

when i was young in my college hood..

One was Pascal.. the other was Saint-Exupéry.

Pascal felt so diminished and humble when he looked upon the sky.. actually heaven.. standing on earth and he much appreciated the trivialness & shortness of man's life which is out of God's mercy.. which is out of control of God's omnipotence..

Saint-Exupéry.. on the other hand..

thought of all those tiny little blinks of simmering light of home.. here and there scattered on earth he saws while he was flying in the night as a symbol of love of people living firmly on earth which needs to be cared and be appreciated..

my interpretation of the different perception over existentialism of the two was that whether they have a chance to fly freely in the huge 3D space..

because i thought that the expansion of space for human to explore has been affecting a lot of philosophical and religious aspects of people..

短想 watching things from a fair distance, Riverside Expressway Seoul Korea Jul 25 2009

Those were just luxury condos built in a row along the river
I saw when I was running in the expressway after midnight
but they looked like a pretty snapshot of fireworks.. aren't they?

We have some fantasy when we look something or somebody
from a fair distance.. since a distance allow us
something look or feel softer, prettier, and even purer..

I agree on this with Herman Hesse saying that
we need to have some practice
in order for us having the same good feeling
in a much closer look within our reach..

at first, I felt pity as I was gazing at them
contained in the small container with oxygen for freshness
hopelessly waiting to be eaten at any time.

Right after the feeling,
I asked to myself..
hey Peter.. do you really think you live in the bigger container?
...
I wasn't sure..
...
as far as intellectual capability is concerned..
I mean all those emotional , logical, verbal, computational, geometrical, artistic and reasoning capabilities which have been physiologically hardwired on us together with such state-of-the-art access mechanism of short & long term memories..
I mean all those collective wisdom, individual free will and historical richness which could be good tools to broadening my horizon.

And at least, as far as the size of the volume of whole brain is concerned..
my earth is not big enough for me..
compared to the fishes contained in that size of water tank..

though it doesn't necessarily mean that I am not happy..

.. funny, right?

처음 저 수조속의 고기들을 봤을땐 녀석들이 불쌍해 보였어.

억지로 공급되는 산소공급으로 신선함을 유지하며
어느때곤 잡혀먹히길 기다릴 뿐일 녀석들을 보면서 말이지..

그러다, 스스로 물었지..
영건, 네가 살고 있는 세상은 쟤네들보다 더 크니?
..
그렇단 대답이 나오지 않더군..

우리가 가진 지적능력에 비해..
우리가 가진 감정적, 수학적, 언어적, 논리적,
기하학적, 예술적 능력에 비해..
우리가 우리의 지평을 넓히는 도구로 사용할수 있는 집단적 지혜,
개인의 자유의지, 인간역사의 유구함 등을 생각해 보았을때..

그리고 우리의 우수한 최첨단 두뇌의 부피나
그 기억소자들의 엄청난 정교함과 작동원리들을 생각해 보았을때..

저 물고기의 능력에 대비한 물탱크의 크기와
우리 인간의 타고난 지적, 생리적 능력에 비한
지구의 크기를 생각해 봤을때..

내가 살고 있는 지구는
결코 충분히 넓은 곳이 아니란 생각이 들었지..

그렇다고 이렇게 좁은 지구에 산다는 것이
결코 행복하지 않다는 것은 아니지만..

..웃기지..?

i had been too much obsessed by the slogan type of idea that
.. the bigger, the more powerful, and the faster... the better..
for a long time in my life..

certainly driven instinctively by my masculine desire
as well as brain-washed by sociopolitical need
for high-performer driven society.

so i have a kind of fantasy
toward the bigger and powerful thing..
like 18-wheel truck, armored vehicles, or trains.. etc..

.. though now i know how childish & risky thinking it had been..
