it was quite romantic and classical to see the man
who was reading an old book in his wagon..
under the beautiful twilight in the very old city..

어느 낯선 도시에서 만나곤 하는 Deja Vu 는 아니더라도
간혹 감상에 빠지게 되는 장면들을 접하게 되는 경우가 있다.

캐나다에서 가장 오래된 도시중 하나이자 문화 경제적 중심도시였던 몬트리올.

아직 문화 중심으로서의 과거의 관성이 남아있긴 하지만..
이젠 경쟁도시 토론토로 금융을 비롯한 거의 모든 경제 주체들이 빠져나가 버린
축제가 끝난 후의 허탈함이 오래도록 존재하는 듯한 도시..

마부가 끄는 마차 속에서 단정하게 앉아
석양이 지려하는 고도의 중심도로를 무심히 지나는 한 소녀의 표정은
내 젊은 날의 많은 추억들을 떠올리게 한다.

더군다나..
그 맞은편 도로에서 깨끗한 빈티지 웨딩카가 신부를 태우고 막 지나가고 있을 경우에..


이젠..
신선하게 채워 넣어질 새로운 추억거리 보다는,
어떤 사소한 주변의 자극에 의해서라도
금새 끄집에 내어질 수 있는 오만가지 유사한 추억들로
내 머리 속 수많은 기억 소자들간의 연결 가중치들은 충분히 무겁다..

while a fancy white vintage limousine
was passing by her horse carriage.

a snapshot of image sometimes triggers a series of memories
hidden for a long time far behind my mind..

no matter what it is..
no matter how it associates with the scene..
it's touching and nostalgic.. naturally for me
cause i'm getting old enough.

i have lots more things to remember
than i could experience anything new..

마음씨 착해 보이는 이 마부 할아버지는 또 어찌나 童話 속 馬夫 스러운지.. ㅎ

연주하며 부르는 'Poor Boy Blues'..

최고의 마에스트로들의 연주는 언제나 너무 편안하다.

세월의 너그러움이 드리워진 그들의 음악은 따뜻하고 친절하기까지 하고..

The soft vibration of shy smile of the matured couple propagated to me resonating my heart with their frequency of life which was.. very slow but steady..
quite different than that of mine.. of high pitch but never lasting long..

And I was lucky enough to see the horse pulling wagon as well in the old city..
