불과 100 여년 전만 해도,
사람들이 구름 위를 날수 있는 방법은 오로지 꿈을 꾸는 일 밖에는 없었을테니..

읽고 있는 책에 고목 잎사귀들의 그림자가 비치고
때 이른 작은 마른 잎새 하나가 나풀 거리며 내려 앉는다..

.. 목련 꽃 그늘 아래서.. 베르테르의 편질 읽노라..

어머님께서 자주 부르시곤 하시던 노래.

살랑 거리는 잎새들의 그림자 사이에서 간지러움을 느끼는 것 같은 활자체를 쫓아 읽다가
페이지를 메우고 있는 나무 그림자 모습을 한참이나 바라 본다..

어린 시절.. 학창 시절에서나 가져 볼 수 있었던 오랫만의 이미지..
그 시절의 설레임 속으로 잠시 빠져 든다.

오늘 이곳 레스토랑의 웹 사이트 구축을 위한 작은 프로젝트에서
난 포토 아티스트로 참여하게 되어, 웹 디자이너와 이곳의 사장과의 미팅을 위해 와 있다..

오후 두시의 햇살이 어찌나 좋았던지..
한동안 햇살 바라기를 했다..

뉴욕 태생이지만 뿌리가 아일랜드 인 사장 존은 고령에도 불구하고

명쾌하고 유쾌한 사람이다.

웹 디자이너인 피터 와 날 위해 특별한 이태리 산 맥주를 가져 왔다.

어느 개인이 수집 보관해 온 것이라 했는데 처음에는 버건디 정도의 와인인 줄 알았다.

한 병에 오십 불 정도 하는 것이니 와인 보다 고급인 맥주 였는데

존의 친절과 함께 마셔서 그런지 정말 맛이 좋았다.

메일로만 소통을 하다가 오늘 처음 보게된 웹 디자이너 피터는 사람 좋아 보이는 캐나다 사람인데

이곳 이외에도 파트너 쉽이 잘 이루어 질 것 같다.. ㅎ 

다음 주 까지 사진을 구성해 전달하기로 했는데

오늘은 이리 저리 맥주를 너무 마시다 보니.. 좀 취했다.. ㅎ

There was a full moon casting its white pale light over the beautiful campus.

I really like to stroll around the campus in the night watching the trees and old buildings
under the moon light as well as with the artificial lights on the ground.

은유적 시공간.. metaphoric space and time, Univ of Toronto Feb 25 2009

 I was looking forward to finding a building for Jazz Concert by the members of Univ of Toronto. And I found that I needed to traverse all across the university. Walking in the winter night in campus at very mild temperature of around zero was so refreshing and retrospective and even spiritual.. :p
