追憶 the Way we were.., Cloudy Cloudy Lake Ontario & Downtown Toronto Oct 1 2009

Today..
I liked to be in the Distillery District for the galleries
sipping lovely espresso from the very old cafe of Balsac.
I liked to wander around the old market of Kensington
trying some of the oldest but best shops in town for vintage jeans,
quality cheese, fresh bread, and even live concert if I was lucky..
I liked to walk around the beautiful campus of
U of Toronto looking at the Victoria style buildings
fully covered by colorful leaves of ivy..
I liked to drink at the patio in the middle of Yorkville
smelling the sweet mood of refraining luxury in town..
...
...
But what I did was just watching the cloud..
the thick & closely layered clouds and clouds in the sky
carpeted far beyond the horizon while drinking some glasses of beer.

Bye now..
Bye today..

What a hunter with supersonic spear!! , Sperm Whale catching Giant Squid

Finally, National Geographic team made a success
in capturing photos of the hunting scene of
the whale biting a gigantic squid
exactly same with the one in the animation..

it's good to admit the fact that
we have still a world full of mysteries
which have never been exploited by human
for such a long time of planetary history
though the areas are becoming scarcer and scarcer..

優雅 Est-ce que vous êtes une personne élégante?, Cinema 'Coco avant Chanel' AMC Yonge-Dundas Toronto Oct 28 2009

It was dedicatedly her movie.. Audrey Tautou..
After the movie, a word had been lingering in my mind till I went to bed.

an Elegance..
.. a word for.. simplicity, uncompromising dignity, refrained passion, purity, hidden melancholy.. and maturity on top for all of those..

장교의 방 Living as a Soldier.. , Fort York Front+Bathurst Street Toronto Jun 18 2009

I should have become a soldier..
a lonely solider.. responsible for the lives of his men
fighting against enemy to survive
for himself, for his community
and for his ideology if lucky enough..

However though..
I had only a chance of getting 6 months of military training
to become an entry-level officer in the army.
And as soon as I got the badges of insignia
on my shoulders to become a platoon leader,
I got discharged from the obligatory military service
since I passed the national exam substituting
3 years of service to only 6 months..
The opportunity was given only to the qualified students
of having master degree or higher.

I at least enjoyed the military training programs
which made me lot closer to the wild nature of human being
as a man.. only with his own flesh and brain..
of course with the minimum set of weapons for survival.

I am just on my reflection of those days as a man..

Over night walking for 100km
with all the heavy military gears on the back..
Roadside walking for returning to barrack in the midnight
watching movie-scene sort of shadows of my colleagues
walking in a long row under the headlights of 2 and half trucks..
Trajectory of red-orange color of the bullets
in the night by M-60 machine gun..
with good feeling of recoiling for automatic fire..
Military orienteering under the full moon light..
...
and incessant feeling of hunger..
and chilly, chilly and chilly.. everyday in the fall & winter..
I actually like the weird feelings that I had not been accustomed to.. by that time..

不滅 Thank those.. who never pass away, Rainy Broadview Toronto Summer 2008

Yes ..
some human live
far beyond their fates
in the hearts of people
generation by generation
and forever..

What a smart species of human being
reborn as immortal
by just remembering and commemorating
among themselves...!

The dead but immortal people
have been influencing people on earth
through various ways of acoustic euphony,
pictorial aesthetics over canvas and
magical combination of alphabets..
in much powerful and appealing ways
than the holy too many incumbents.

Amazing and amazing..

언제까지나.. Emotional Snapshot reflected over the song, Lake Sunset Leslie-Bloomington Ontario Sep 6 2009

Now you hear Peter's emotional snapshot in this morning..
...
Yes.. we need somebody to dedicate the song like this.
.
This is an old song but how beautiful..
how soft and simple..
for one to confess the true thing to the other..
..
Good luck!! ^,~

The End: Nancy Sinatra

At the end of a rainbow, you'll find a pot of gold
At the end of a story, you'll find it's all been told
But our love has a treasure our hearts can always spend
And it has a story without any end

At the end of a river, the water stops its flow
At the end of a highway, there's no place you can go
But just tell me you love and you are only mine
And our love will go on 'til the end of time

At the end of a river, the water stops its flow
At the end of a highway, there's no place you can go
But just tell me you love and you are only mine
And our love will go on 'til the e-end of time

'Til the end of time

9中隊 9th Company: Kind of Real War Movie..

which I really like you to see.. if any chance..

Nobody answers on why they fight against what..
They just wish themselves luck and fight to survive..

Horrible.. horrible apocalypse..

無常 a Vanity..., Sumi : I Deamt I Dwelt in Marble Halls

Poor Peter..

Bye now..

Forever 'Star Trek' !! , AMC Cinema Yonge-Dundas May 13 2009

It's kind of 'back to the future' to see this old but great TV series resurrected on screen with all the ultra fine graphic animations.
The most impressive scene was on Mr. Spock who joined again Star Trek on the wide screen .. He looked much much older than I expected.. His image of extreme intelligence without any emotional disturbance has gone.. I was reading instead mildness, calmness and good modesty on his face..

How much did I admired by his long Sharp ears of the Vulcan tribe. How much did I amazed by the wrapping of space of the crews from the ship to somewhere in the anonymous planet though it was done by crude special effects. And how much did I become comfortable for the plausible world of living peacefully together with the weird-looking extra-terrestrial people with green blood...

Like other outcomes of human brain works of poems, plays and music etc, the SF series were weekly gateways to the other part of paradigm, a good escape from the suffocating reality and a buzzing catalyst to boiling the pot of imagination to expand far beyond of my own.. More on top of those, Star Trek gave me lots more specific episodes in which made me more accustomed to approaching challenging things with more logical ways of thingking under scientific projection.

The movie was just good enough to triggering me the nostalgic fractions of memories of those pure age of my youth of full of curiosity and full of expectation for the bright future...

Wish I could fly.. Viva Mr. Miyazaki~~ :-)

Hopefully you have chance to see the animations of Hayao Miyazaki.. Every scenes are so beautiful and the story is very much creative and serious. And don't forget to try yellow popcorn.. :-)

To my confession.., I saw 'Porco Rosso' almost 10 times, 'My Neighbor Totoro' more than that, and 'Howl's Moving Castle' for another 10 times.. etc etc. Please don't laugh, mr.. :-)

I think that dreaming is always good whatever it is.. As I think back, I used to find myself standing just in the middle of my dream.. in real space.. And as the things happened again and again, the dreaming wasn't just day dreaming anymore... :p

Admiring Each Other: Yoyoma Plays Morricone

I've been admiring so many people, some are passed away, some are still much active, some are very matured and some are much younger than me.. Though nobody admires me, I've never been regretful for my own life so far. But when I see these kind of people admiring each other and working together to reach further beyond what they've already well achieved, I really envy them and my heart beat gets faster just like when I'm sitting in front of a girl who I love.. Thanks Morricone and Yoyoma.. ㅠㅠ

Le Papillon des Etoiles vs Space Odyssey 2001, Toronto Apr 24 2009

I am a really big fan of the gifted writer Bernard Werber. I've been reading almost all his novels started from 'Ant'. Now I am almost finishing reading his space fantasy novel of 'Le Papillon des Etoiles'. Werber talked about why they needed to leave our green planet of earth in detail in his novel. And he encompassed almost 1,000 years of human history, though the description is rough & typically imaginable, living in the huge space ship until couple of survivors find and reach new planet to live. He talks about witty recycling of whole human history as an excellent story teller. Though there are still lots of details missing, excessive generalization and redundancies, he has great framework and paradigm in overall in his story.

As for Stanley Kubric, there is no single shot of frame which is redundant. Under such completeness in interpreting all the aspects of science & technology, aesthetics and human psychology, he had been touching the very core of human as an individual against war, against cosmos, against machine(computer), against society and virtually against very oneself. I really admire his holistic view of the world & universe and its linkage to the fine level details projected over the inner space of human.

Combining talents of more than two people doesn't necessary lead to a result of synergy but I am thinking what if Kubrick had met Bernard for scenario before he passed away.. at least for a good friendship or comradeship..
